Meade Equatorial Wedges

Meade 8" Equatorial Wedge with LX90 Adapter Plate 07002-1 consists of a standard Meade equatorial wedge, plus an Adapter Plate to accomodate Meade LX90 drive base. 8" Meade Equatorial Wedge 07002-1 allows mounting Meade LX90 Telescope in a polar mode on the scope tripod for long exposure deep space astrophotography (which is otherwise not possible when the scope in its default altazimuth mode).

Meade 8" Equatorial Wedge comes with a deluxe latitude adjuster and azimuth fine adjuster for precise polar alignment. Also includes no tool knobs for easy assembly of the Meade Wedge to the tripod and the scope to the wedge, plus a compass for faster aligning on the pole. Meade 8" Equatorial Wedge is made of die cast aluminum. Meade Adapter Plate is for those who already have a wedge from another Meade scope (LX10, LX50, 2080, LX200, etc.) that they want to use with Meade LX90 Telescope.

Meade Equatorial Wedge for 8" Telescopes 07002 attaches between telescope and adjustable field tripod. Meade Ultra-Wedge 07008 is a heavy duty equatorial wedge for use with Meade LX Telescopes and Meade RCX Telescopes. The Ultra-stable Wedge by Meade is a necessary telescope accessory for long exposure astrophotography. These Meade Ultra-Wedges are used primarily for exposures that are longer that 5 minutes. The Meade Ultra Wedge allows for a precise polar alignment of your telescope in equatorial mode. This alignment by the Meade Ultra Stable Wedge eliminates the field rotation in long-exposure photographs by allowing you to align the telescope's axis of rotation with the Earth's axis of rotation. The Meade Ultra-Wedge 07008 includes fine adjusters, no-tool knobs, and a compass for faster aligning on the pole.
