Listen to the radio interview with Ted Rudyk, a longtime amateur astronomer and the resident observing specialist at EfstonScience in Toronto spoke with Cheryll Guillespe
The show aired at different times throughout the weekend on many different Corus stations across the country (ie: 630 CHED in Edmonton, CJOB in Manitoba, 1150am in the Okanagan, Calgary, etc.) throughout the Dec 10th and 11th weekend. Many optical designs that advertise themselves as “astrograph” quality actually only produce pinpoint stars across a curved foval plane. While this may be acceptable for visual observing, stars will appear out of focus at the edge when used with a flat chip sensor of a digital camera. EdgeHD optics produce a focal plane more then three-timess flatter than a standard Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope and dramatically flatter then other competing coma-free designs. This guarantees you visibly sharp stars across some of the largest CCD chips available today.

Sky-Watcher is proud to present the commemorative edition of Newtonâns telescope.
